1st Dubbo Scouts Family Fair

1st Dubbo Scouts is holding a Family Fair at the Welchman Street Hall on the 23rd March, 5.30pm - 8.00pm. There will be some demonstrations, food, games, activities and even some shopping for mum. Please come along and enjoy a fantastic night

Australian Red Cross Blood Service News

This week Dubbo blood centre is 30+  donations short of what is needed to support patients in need. It is vital these appointments are filled to ensure supplies. 

Monday, Tuesday & Friday are days of particular concern.

Australia's Biggest High Tea at the Zoo

Dubbo Farmers Markets | 1st & 3rd Saturday of the Month

On the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month - rain, hail or shine locals and visitors alike get together to enjoy and appreciate the feast of fresher, tastier produce from your local producers. 

Held from 8 am to 12 noon on the lawn of the home of the Dubbo Farmers Market, The Macquarie Lions Park, situated behind the Visitor Information Centre on the corner of Newell Highway and Macquarie Street, Dubbo. 

The markets offer a range of seasonal fresh produce, fresh fruit and vegetables, herbs and plants. 

There is also fresh bread, a selection of local pork, beef and lamb, award winning olive oils, preserves, jams, marinates honey, wine, nuts and so much more. 

Enjoy our fresh breakfast and coffee options with family and friends before you start exploring the regional produce, sampling and taking home all the goodies you will need to prepare your own gourmet dishes at home.

Dubbo Ride For The Wild

Help support endangered wild life by participating in the Dubbo Bike-a-thon! This Bikeathon is a challenge for bike enthusiasts of all levels, while supporting endangered animals in much need of a safe environment.

Dubbo Stroke Support Group

The next monthly get-together of the Dubbo Stroke Support Group will be held on Wednesday 11th April, 2018.  At the David Palmer Centre, Old Lourdes Hospital, 84 Cobborah Road, Dubbo. 

From 10am to 12noon.  Everyone is welcome to attend.
Brenda Svensson, Senior Occupational Therapist at Lourdes Hospital will be our guest speaker at this meeting.

Dundullimal Homestead 30th Birthday Open Day

On Saturday the 5th of May 2018 join us for the 30th Birthday Open Day from 11am - 3pm.

Enjoy a game of quoits or toss a thong or two.
Admire the art of antique sewing and lace tatting or the skill of a blacksmith.
Take a selfie in some olden day attire or feel the ambiance of a bygone era in the homestead.
Relax with tea & scones from the cafe while listening to live entertainment.

Come for an hour or come for the day, everyone is most welcome. All for a $2.00 donation for admission.

Geurie Markets

Geurie Lions Club will be holding a market day on Saturday 31st March, 
commencing at 8:30AM at the Wise Park, Mitchell Highway, Geurie. 

With a mixture of new and used goods, collectables, produce, arts and crafts, 
food, trash and treasure, car boot. Yummy BBQ runs all day. Something for everyone! 

The farmers markets include fresh vegetables from central west, a variety of fresh meats
and wine from Bell River Estate Winery.

New stallholders always welcome.

Macular Disease Foundation Australia Free Seminar

Macular Disease Foundation Australia is a charitable organisation and we are providing a free seminar on Macular degeneration for the Dubbo community. 
We are short on numbers for our seminar and would really like to have more people attend this very important health issue. 
Macular degeneration is the leading cause of blindness and severe vision loss in Australia and 1 in 7 over the age of 50 have some evidence of the disease. The seminar is on the 27 March at Dubbo Memorial RSL club.

Man From Ironbark Festival

Stuart Town, formally known as 'Ironbark' as made famous by Banjo Patterson's' poem Man From Ironbark, will once again hold it's annual festival on Easter Saturday 31st March 2018. 

There will be Market Stalls, Displays and Food Vendors, A Bush Dance in the park and Poetry at lunch time.  
A Cobb and Co stage coach and helicopter joy flights plus history re enactment performances will be a feature of the day. 

There will be something for the entire family.
