Dubbo Farmers Markets | 1st & 3rd Saturday of the Month

On the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month - rain, hail or shine locals and visitors alike get together to enjoy and appreciate the feast of fresher, tastier produce from your local producers. 


Held from 8 am to 12 noon on the lawn of the home of the Dubbo Farmers Market, The Macquarie Lions Park, situated behind the Visitor Information Centre on the corner of Newell Highway and Macquarie Street, Dubbo. 

The markets offer a range of seasonal fresh produce, fresh fruit and vegetables, herbs and plants. 

There is also fresh bread, a selection of local pork, beef and lamb, award winning olive oils, preserves, jams, marinates honey, wine, nuts and so much more. 

Enjoy our fresh breakfast and coffee options with family and friends before you start exploring the regional produce, sampling and taking home all the goodies you will need to prepare your own gourmet dishes at home.



Gilgandra C.W.A Markets | 1st Saturday of Every Month

Held at Gilgandra Community Plaza in Miller Street. From  9am until 1pm.

Community Meeting | Photon Energy

Wednesday November 28 at 7pm held at Wellington Civic Centre. 

Photon Energy is proposing to build a second solar farm on Suntop Road, which when joined with the company's initial farm in the area, will create "the largest solar farm in Australia" and will cover more than 2500 acres - 1.3 times the size of Wellington. 

This meeting is a chance to hear concerns, raise your own and make your voice heard.

Dubbo & District Hearing Support Group | 21st Birthday Celebration

Saturday 1st December | 4-7pm

Held in the car park at Macquarie Conservatorium of Music, Arthur St Dubbo

Dubbo & District Parent Support Group for the Deaf & Hearing Impaired are currently seeking donations of vouchers, money or prizes for raffles and would appreciate any support. Any little donation helps. Cash donations over $2.00 are tax deductible. 

Donations can be dropped off at Hear our Heart Office on 24 Erskine Street Dubbo or the Office of Department of Education Hearing Support Teachers accessed via Arthur St car park. Collection of donations can be organised through appointment with a committee member. 



Food for Fines | Macquarie Regional Library Dubbo

Clear your overdue library fines! Simply return your overdue items along with an item of non-perishable food, including packaged and canned goods, to any branch of Macquarie Regional Library during December, and we will remove your overdue fines.

Grab a bargain at the Macquarie Regional Library book sale!

Saturday 17 November 2018, in the Dubbo Library Car Park from 9.00am to 2.00pm.

The book sale will be a great opportunity for book lovers to grab a bargain. There will be thousands of pre-loved books, as well as a huge range of magazines, DVD's, CD's and computers available at ridiculously cheap prices.

All of the proceeds will go towards new library materials, programs and equipment.

Meet the Mayor Events | Dubbo Region

The Mayor of the Dubbo Region Ben Shields will be holding Meet the Mayor Events at Geurie, Wongarbon and Wellington, giving residents the opportunity to talk about any issues, questions or feedback they might have on the region. 

The Mayor will be at Geurie's Mitchell Inn on Thursday November 22 from 4pm - 7pm

Wongarbon's Ploughman's Rest Tavern on Tuesday November 27 from 4pm - 7pm

Cactus Cafe Wellington on Wednesday November 28 between 10am and 12pm

The Mayor is encouraging anyone in those communities to come down and talk to him about any issues they might have or even if they would like to just say hello.
