Australian Red Cross has organised 19 CPR courses to be held in Dubbo during September.
The courses are being run every Monday and Wednesday night from 6pm and twice on Saturdays at 8:30am and 1pm.
Be prepared and book into an Australian Red Cross CPR course, or refresher course.

batyr's Being Herd Workshop
On October 14th and 15th, youth mental health organisation batyr will be bringing their two day speaker training workshop 'Being Herd' to town.
'Being Herd' runs over a day and a half and brings together a small group of young people between 18-30 years old to learn how to build the skills and confidence to share their lived experience of mental ill health.
The workshop is open to anyone who has experienced mental health difficulties and is passionate about reducing the stigma around mental health.
The workshop is provided to young people free of charge, and is made possible by the generous support of the Cobar community who are co-funding the workshop.

Charity Art Exhibition
Quota International of Wellington Inc. will be holding its annual Charity Art Exhibition in conjuction with Wellington Springfest.
At Wellington Soldiers Memorial Club - opening 7:00pm Friday 22nd September.

Cobar "A Night To Remember Our Lost Miners"
As part of Cobar's Festival Of The Miners Ghost weekend this year we are having a memorial service in honor of all the Miners who lost their lives whilst working in the mines within the Cobar shire.
On Friday 27th October 2017 6pm at the Cobar Heritage Park.
With guest speakers Deputy Mayor - Peter Abbot, Mining Engineer - Barry Grant and Museum Curator - Kay Stingemore.

Dubbo Regional Disability Carnival
After a successful carnival last year , Breakthru will be once again hosting the Dubbo Regional Disability Carnival in association with the Dubbo Athletic Club for 2017.
The Dubbo Regional Disability Carnival 2017 will be open to all competitors , no matter what their ability, with all disability providers in Dubbo and surrounds invited to attend and participate with their clients/customers.
This day has been arranged as a a wonderful inclusive event for everyone, with no cost to participants or supporters.
Held on: Sunday 15th October 2017 from 9am with a start time of the events of 10am

Elders Outreach Group Open Day

The 65th year anniversary of the closing of the Glen Davis Shale Oil Refinery will be remembered on the long weekend, 29th September to 2nd October 2017.

Orana Gardens Retirement Village Annual Spring Fair
Our Annual Spring Fair commences 12.30pm on Saturday 23 September at 12.30pm
at the Village's Country Club, 2 Charles Crescent, Dubbo.
Our trading table includes home cooked slices, cakes, jams, craft and gift items.
In addition, there are other tables featuring jewellery, candles, soaps, scarves,
hats plus a wool spinning demonstration with home-made woollen garments for sale.
As well as afternoon tea there is a humorous musical skit performed by our ladies.

Orana Relay For Life
Relay For Life is a fun and moving overnight experience that raises vital funds for the Cancer Council’s research, prevention, information and support services.
Relay is a chance for the Dubbo community to recognise and celebrate local cancer survivors, patients and their carers, to honour and remember loved ones lost to cancer and to raise money to help save more lives.
Killing Heidi will be performing live on Saturday night!
There's heaps for the kids to do - Face painting, Isaac Compton playing kids music, Zumba, egg & spoon and sack races.
For the grown ups there's wall climbing, a 5km Midnight Madness fun run/walk, Target Foam Archery from Dubbo Action Sports, and lots of fun market games and stalls, plus delicious food and coffee.
The event starts on Saturday afternoon 28th Oct and goes all night, finishing on Sunday morning - and you can be there for an hour or two, or the whole event. You can even camp the night!
It's at Barden Park in Dubbo, and teams from right across the Orana region are invited to register and remember loved ones lost to cancer, celebrate those still fighting, and fight back against ALL cancers in ALL people.
Registration is just $20 per person and includes a shirt, breakfast and Killing Heidi's concert.
Families, sporting groups, work teams, schools, friends - anyone can team up and take part!

Wellington Garden Group
Wellington Garden Group Inc is holding an Open Garden Day this year to be held on Sunday October 22nd.
Featuring Historic Gardens and their homes as part of the celebrations. These include four country gardens and two town gardens. The gardens will be open from 9:30am to 5pm.
Artworks, plants and refreshments will be available to purchase.
Costs to view all six gardens is $20 or $5 each, children under 12 free with all proceeds from the day to be donated to local schools.
The Oxley Museum will also be open on the day for those interested in learning more about the area's history. Cost gold coin donation
While the homes will not be open to the public, a history of each of them will be available at the gardens.
